PHILADELPHIA (CBS) ??The Lite Choice is an ice cream shop for the calorie-conscious.? And it?s open now at 2nd and South Streets (135 South Street).

?The Lite Choice is kind of a lighter alternative to ice cream and a tastier version, we think, than frozen yogurt,? owner Ryan Larkin (top photo) tells KYW Newsradio.? ?We have a scoopable version, we also have a soft serve.?

Over in Bryn Mawr, Pa., Verdad executive chef Nick Farina says they?re celebrating ?Day of the Dead? this weekend with specialty tacos-and-tequila flights that will remain on the menu all month.

?Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican holiday,? Farina (below) explains.? ?It?s celebrated on All Saints Day, right after Halloween.? It?s usually a two-day celebration, however we?re going to carry it out for the whole month of November.?

And the folks on East Passyunk Avenue want to encourage you to eat dinner in South Philadelphia.? ?Main Street? manager Renee Gilinger says they?ve set up a new weekend valet parking system that will allow you to park for just $8 when you get validated at any of the Passyunk Avenue restaurants.

?People could drop off their car in one location and pick it up in another,? she says.? ?So you can drop off your car down by Broad Street, have a nice dinner, take a walk, shop, maybe have an after-dinner drink, and pick up your car four blocks away.?
